PHISHING ALERT!!!
A new email has been hitting inboxes of SPTC email users today (April 1, 2009). It says it is from us using an email address of customerservice@sptc.net, but that is not the case. It is an attempt to steal your username and password. The email looks something like this.

DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK!!! IT DOES NOT TAKE YOU TO THE WEBMAIL LOGIN!!! It only takes you to a page that looks like it is the webmail login.

If you look closely at the website address, you'll see this.

It shows "jsb.cz", which is NOT a website that SPTC has any dealings with. (A side note, the way the domain name is highlighted there is a new feature on Internet Explorer 8 to help you avoid being a phishing victim. If you do not have Internet Explorer 8, we recommend you follow this link to learn more and download the new version.)
If you enter your username and password on this page, you will see the screen flash and return to a login screen. At that point, they have your login information.
If you see this email in your inbox, IGNORE IT AND DELETE IT!!! If any SPTC employee sends you an email, they will include your name at the beginning of the email, and their name and contact information at the end of the email. If you are still unsure, call the SPTC office and ask.
